Kith Honors Black History Month
To honor Black History Month, Kith proudly continues its Artist Series with three inspiring creatives—Penda Diakité, Marcus Troy and Alvin Armstrong.
Together with the artists, Kith created a capsule collection featuring their original artwork on tees and crewnecks. This capsule will be available this Saturday, February 1st at Kith shops and at 11AM EST/CET on Kith.com, CA.Kith.com, EU.Kith.com & the Kith App. Each artist will receive 50% of the proceeds from the apparel sold featuring their designs.
To mark the five-year anniversary of the program, Kith partnered with the Brooklyn Museum to amplify this year’s Artist Series Capsule with a range of activations beginning this Saturday at the museum’s special event First Saturday: Toward Joy.
This activation is highlighted by the Black History Month Artist Series Roundtable, which will take place during First Saturday at 6:15PM. The panel will feature this year’s artists who will discuss their creative journeys & inspirations as well as the meaning of art in their lives & communities. The Brooklyn Museum will also feature a special presentation to honor and showcase the artwork of fourteen of the visionary artists who have shaped the program over the years.
Lastly, there will be a limited-time pop-up at the Brooklyn Museum Shop, offering both the Black History Month Artist Series Capsule and Kith for the Brooklyn Museum Collection.
