Motivated by an infatuation with creating pieces missing from his personal closet, John Elliott launched his eponymous label in California with an initial focus on basic men’s categories such as denim and t-shirts. He spent an extensive amount of time sourcing and developing fabrics in Japan while simultaneously curating the brand’s custom-knit French terry at home in the United States. John Elliot made a name for himself in the industry with the support from high-profile celebrities like Kanye West to create a line of simplified yet functional luxury clothing for the contemporary man. Elliot is the 2014 recipient of GQ’s Best New Designer of the Year award.
