Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Super Blue 10th Anniversary
Ronnie Fieg reprises his longstanding partnership with ASICS to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the release of the duo’s original Super Blue GEL-LYTE™III sneakers. Using this as his inspiration, Fieg designed two new editions of the model channelled through a modern luxury lens - the GEL-LYTE™III and the GEL-LYTE™ FIEG 3.1.
Both models are crafted from premium hairy pigskin suede, marking the first time Fieg has applied this material to ASICS silhouettes. The GEL-LYTE™ model features a light grey upper with the ASICS Stripe Design in blue and toe windows. White embroidery is used throughout, including the FIEG logo executed in the GEL™ logo special letter font on the split tongue. The GEL-LYTE FIEG 3.1 sneaker uses black nubuck for the vamp with hairy suede overlays and leather ASICS Stripe Design. This GEL-LYTE™III upper sits atop a GEL-NIMBUS™ 17 sole unit with two-tone visible technology. This combination is Fieg’s own creation, represented by the silhouette’s moniker.
The Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Super Blue 10th Anniversary Capsule releases this Monday, October 7th, at all Kith shops and at 11AM EST on Kith.com. Both models will also be released at Kith Treats Tokyo. The GEL-LYTE III model will retail at $180 and be available from sizes 5.5-12 and size 13. The GEL-LYTE FIEG 3.1 will retail at $200 and be available in sizes 6-12 and size 13.
