Kith and adidas Soccer reprise their partnership to launch their collaborative Season 2 campaign. Kith’s soccer clubs, the New York Cobras and Miami Flamingos, make their return, while also being joined by an all-new third club. These three clubs serve as the focal points of the collection, comprising the primary color palettes used throughout. Season 2 is an elevation of its predecessor in every facet, which includes an expansive assortment of 82 different styles and official sponsors for each team.
Whereas Season 1 took place in the spring, Season 2 makes its mark in the fall/winter as temperatures grow colder and players must maintain warmth while performing. To accomplish this adidas’s most elite technologies have been built into the product, such as Climacool, Primaloft, and more. In addition to the apparel are 6 new footwear styles, as each team is equipped with street and turf models. For the street, Kith offers three new renditions of the Nemeziz UltraBOOST 17+ silhouette, while a redesigned laceless version of the Nemeziz 17.1 TR secures the turf. Lastly, a full assortment of accessories round out the collection, including game socks, caps, beanies, neck gaiters, reversible duffel bags, and more.
“The Cobras was our first club and one of the main reasons we began this journey with adidas. The team’s colors of black, white, and red symbolize our home base of New York, as the club plays in the depths of the city and often at night with the city lights behind them,” explains Kith-founder Ronnie Fieg. “To elevate our kits from last season we partnered with some iconic brands to sponsor the teams and have their logos live collaboratively with our,” Fieg continues. “For the Cobras that sponsor is Coca-Cola, a brand I’ve admired for as long as I can remember and am blessed to have a strong relationship with. Their classic red logo fits seamlessly with the Cobras kits.”
To celebrate the launch of Season 2, as well as the addition of our third club, Kith will open doors to a Los Angeles pop-up shop inside of Fred Segal’s Sunset Strip flagship shop. This pop-up will be open for 1 week starting today. Product will be on display (not for sale) this week prior to its official launch on Friday.
Lastly, Kith has also worked with EA Sports to incorporate all of the Kith x adidas Soccer kits into FIFA 18 as unlockable exclusives. This partnership ties into a special activation that will be held at Kith’s Manhattan flagship and the LA Pop-Up, where people will have the chance to compete in a single-elimination tournament of FIFA 18 to win a special prize. The tournaments are on Thursday 11/2. Contestants will be selected randomly via raffle which they can sign up for here
