Kith and Coca-Cola come together for the fifth collection of our longstanding partnership. Each year we have traveled around America, going from Aspen to the Hamptons to Malibu and Hawaii. This year we span the entire country, as we draw inspiration from road tripping coast to coast and combine sensibilities from different parts of America.
This men’s and women’s collection is comprised of 73-styles that blend summer and pre-fall silhouettes. Staple Kith silhouettes are reimagined with patterns and prints that infuse a heritage Americana aesthetic with Coca-Cola’s iconic identity. Pieces include denim jackets, William III Hoodies, camp collar shirts, and a re-introduction of Kith’s Vintage Tee Program. This program highlights the road trip experience through reinterpretations of iconic Coca-Cola ads seen while driving cross-country. Complementing the apparel is an assortment of lifestyle accessories, ranging from headwear to door mats to diecast car replicas.
Kith and Coca-Cola also continue their three-way collaborations, reprising partnerships with Converse, Mitchell & Ness, and Golden Bear, as well as introducing a capsule with the renowned woolen mill Pendleton. Below is a breakdown of each partnership within Kith x Coca-Cola Season 5…
Mitchell & Ness
A range of men’s apparel and accessories is created with Mitchell & Ness, drawing on more of an East coast collegiate aesthetic. Wool knit fabric is used for intarsia-branded cardigans and shorts, while Mitchell & Ness’s coaches jacket is reimagined through an all-over Kith & Coca-Cola logo print. Headwear includes bucket hats that feature prints seen on the apparel.
The footwear for Season 5 is created with Converse, marking the fourth collaboration for this trio. However, this year we opted for a new silhouette for the first time, turning to the Chuck Taylor All Star 1970 Ox in three colorways – Navy, Parchment, and Red. Elements from previous seasons are retained, such as denim uppers and glass bottle-inspired green-tinted translucent outsoles. The uppers feature distressed edges and asymmetrical cubic embroidery that displays Coca-Cola on the lateral side and their iconic ribbon on the medial side. Each style sits atop a vulcanized rubber sole with Kith flag logos and CTAS license plate branding.
Kith & Coca-Cola partner with Pendleton, one of the most revered fabric mills in the world, to create a range of men’s and women’s product that uses the mill’s iconic southwestern Americana patterns and fabrics. A variety of these patterns are applied to velour towel terry hoodies, silk cotton camp shirts and shorts, swim trunks, and skate decks.
This is the third consecutive year that Kith & Coca-Cola work with Golden Bear to craft a luxury take on the classic varsity jacket. This year, the jacket is made from a natural-colored virgin wool and features chainstitch embroidery on the front and back. As always, this jacket is handmade in the USA.
Kith x Coca-Cola Season 5 releases this Saturday, August 15th, at 11AM EST on Kith.com. The only Kith shops that will carry this collection are Kith Tokyo, Selfridges, and Hirshleifers.
