Kith Treats & Dominique Ansel Bakery Present The Metropolitan Cronut®

In celebration of The Cronut®'s 12th Birthday, Chef Dominique Ansel & Ronnie Fieg have collaborated on a limited edition flavor of Dominique Ansel Bakery's famous Cronut® pastry, a unique and delectable combination of a donut and croissant. Inspired by Kith's mantra of  "New York to the World”, The Metropolitan is a limited-edition Cronut® that will be available for one weekend only, Friday, 5/16 through Sunday, 5/18 exclusively at Dominique Ansel Bakery in NYC. 

Continuing the celebration, Kith Treats has also created a limited-edition ice cream special that infuses the collaborative Cronut® flavor alongside complementary ingredients found on Kith Treats' mainstay menu. The ice cream special and limited edition Cronut® will be revealed upon the long-awaited re-opening of Kith Treats’ Manhattan flagship, with the ice cream special available Friday, 5/16 through Sunday, 5/18 at all US Kith Treats locations only throughout the store’s re-opening weekend.

This partnership between Fieg and Ansel is a collaboration of two New York-based creators known for being masters of their craft and pushing the boundaries of innovation within both of their respective fields. Both Fieg and Ansel opened their first brick-and-mortar locations in 2011, soon to be celebrating over fifteen years of simultaneous excellence. 

Dominique Ansel has been coined the “Culinary Van Gogh” by Food & Wine and was named the World’s Best Pastry Chef in 2017. He has since expanded locations outside of New York to Las Vegas, bringing his renowned creations across the country. Named one of TIME magazine’s “25 Best Inventions of 2013”, the Cronut® has become a New York City culinary staple, known as one of the most celebrated pastries around the world. Combining the most delectable aspects of a donut and a croissant, the Cronut® is made of delicate, flakey dough, layered within the classic donut shape, with a different flavor that changes monthly, never repeating.
