BMW X5 Past & Present by Kith
Coming SoonKith and BMW reunite for the fourth chapter of their ongoing partnership, presenting a multifaceted collection of apparel, accessories, and bespoke automobiles that includes the 2000 BMW X5 E53 by Ronnie Fieg and 2027 BMW X5 by Kith.
These two models bridge BMW’s past and present through the Kith lens. Ronnie Fieg designed a one-of-one 2000 BMW X5 E53 in Titanium Silver Metallic, celebrating the first generation of the X5 and BMW’s first-ever Sports Activity Vehicle. Fieg and BMW oversaw a complete rotisserie restoration of this vehicle, which took over one year of development.
At the heart of the rebuild is the custom integration of a 5.0-liter S85 V10 engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, while retaining the factory all-wheel-drive system. Additional performance upgrades include a custom exhaust system, BMW M Sport brakes, and a recalibrated suspension to complement the powertrain conversion. The interior was also fully customized, featuring black leather with all-over Kith monogram embossing and Kith for BMW branding throughout the instrument cluster.
At the opposite end of the timeline, the 2027 BMW X5 by Kith represents the model’s fifth generation and marks the first entirely new X5 body design to debut in more than eight years. Its monolithic design emphasizes minimalism, with uninterrupted surfaces free of seals and door handles, while a sweeping roofline extends the silhouette. Enhanced design elements include double-X headlights paired with an illuminated kidney grille, a driver-focused cockpit with a panoramic skyroof, a central display in Free-Cut Design alongside a dedicated passenger screen, and a customizable ambient light bar extending from door to door.
The all-new X5 is powered by an updated inline 6-cylinder engine, providing both horsepower and torque increases. Paired with a 48V mild hybrid system, the B58 engine provides smooth, dynamic and efficient performance. This one-of-one collaborative model pays homage to its first-generation counterpart through its Frozen Titanium Silver paint—an exclusive interpretation of the E53’s Titanium Silver Metallic finish. Signature Kith elements can be seen throughout the vehicle, including Kith badges on the wings and rear deck lid, as well as a Kith monogram-embossed black leather interior with K&K Crest logo embroidery on backseat armrest. Additional bespoke updates include BMW M Carbon Sport front seats and 23-inch wheels.
Kith for BMW 2026 releases globally today, August 17th, at 11AM EST at Kith stores, Kith.com, and the Kith App.
